Our Physicians

At Glendale MRI Institute, our highly skilled, board-certified radiologists are always on-site and available for consultations with referring physicians. Our physicians include:

James M. Lilley, M.D., Managing Partner of the Institute, is a graduate of the Loma Linda University Medical School, UCLA residency program, and UCLA cardiovascular radiology fellowship, as well as an Radiological Science instructor at UCLA. Dr. Lilley was chairman of the Radiological Department of Glendale Adventist Medical Center from 1979 to 2003.

Steven J. Wong,  MD, Medical Director -   For over 25 years, Dr. Wong has been serving the Glendale community.  His expertise and knowledge in diagnostic imaging have made him the go-to guy for many local referring physicians.  Before joining Glendale MRI Institute in 2007, Dr. Wong was on staff at Glendale Adventist Medical Center for over 20 years. He graduated from UCLA  Medical School and completed a body imaging fellowship at Stanford University.  Dr. Wong prides himself on being able to collaborate with his fellow physicians and welcomes any and all questions.  We’re fortunate to have Dr. Wong as part of our team. 

Steven M. Cohen, MD – Dr. Cohen graduated from State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center and performed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at New York Medical College and his fellowship in Body Imaging and Ultrasound at UCLA School of Medicine.  Dr.Cohen has taught and guest lectured at UCLA and has supervised and interpreted hundreds of PET/CT scans for imaging centers throughout Southern California.  He has also been published in numerous peer review journals. 

George N. Elias, MD – Dr. Elias has extensive experience in musculoskeletal interpretation.  He received his medical degree from Brown University Medical School and Dartmouth Medical School in the summer of 1998.  He followed that with subsequent fellowships at the University of Washington (neuroradiology) and a musculoskeletal fellowship with ProScan Imaging under Dr. Stephen J. Pomeranz.

Larry McNamee MD, Cancer Imaging PET-CT, neuroPET, MR, CT Dr. Larry McNamee has extensive experience in oncologic PET interpretations, as well as MRI and CT. He completed his Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Prior to completing his Radiology program, Dr. McNamee completed formal training in Hematology and Oncology, and was on Associate Staff at The Cleveland Clinic. He has given frequent lectures on the merits of PET scanning.

Alex Boutselis MD, Cancer Imaging PET-CT, MRI, CT -Dr. Boutselis is a superb and uniquelyqualified radiologist with extensive oncologic PET, CT, and Diagnostic Radiology experience. He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and completed graduate studies in Advanced Training in Positron Emission Tomography at Duke University. Dr. Boutselis’ previous work experience includes providing interpretation services for PET/CT, MRI, and CT at several large Acute Care Hospitals in Lafayette, Indiana.
